6.5′ Slim Christmas Tree | Steel Planter Box | Wrapped Hanging Pine Wreath | Hanging Iron Bells | Outdoor Rug
I have slowly but surely been spreading holiday cheer across the ENTIRE house, I decided it was finally time to tackle the front porch. I am a firm believer that first impressions are EVERYTHING – that’s why I take the time each season to decorate the front porch accordingly. I mean, that is the first thing your guests see when they arrive. Wouldn’t you want them to feel warm and welcome, especially during the holiday season? I know I do!
DIY Garland Arch
Cypress Evergreen Garland | Similar Pine Garland | Similar Heavy Duty Fencing | Similar Zip Ties
I started collecting the garland for this project EARLY because if there is one thing I have learned throughout all of this, it is how quickly holiday decor can sell out! I had a vision for this garland arch and I knew we could do it. We wanted to create something beautiful that would last us many holiday seasons to come! Cody was such a big help for this DIY project, I’m not afraid to climb a ladder but this was DEFINITELY a two-person job. We used heavy duty fencing to ensure it could hold the garland, heavy duty zip-ties to keep the garland in place AND to connect the fencing to the beams.

adding some finishing touches
Wrapped Hanging Pine Wreath | Hanging Iron Bells | Similar Ribbon
Now that the garland arch has been successfully hung up and securely attached, it was time to dress up these wreaths! These wreaths were already beautiful, especially with their pinecone accents but it still felt like something was missing. I love adding to Christmas decor, I feel like it gives it that extra charm and personality. I decided to add some ribbon and these hanging iron bells. I went to Hobby Lobby to shop for ribbon but have linked similar ribbon in case you prefer to shop from the comfort of your couch!
let there be lights!

We are ALMOST there! I decided to take a leap on these planter boxes, talk about a designer look for less! I wanted to utilize their depth but didn’t want to smash Christmas trees in there and have them lose their full look. I placed two Home Depot buckets upside down in each planter box and covered them with a piece of plywood. Now I have the perfect stand for these budget-friendly Christmas trees! These trees came pre-lit, I only added a few stems from Hobby Lobby to achieve a more full and festive look.
