The weather will be cooling off soon, and I can officially say I’m ready for Fall around here and the cooler nights at home . My favorite part is getting to extend the ambiance of the season by decorating outside. Today on the blog I’ll be sharing how I’ve styled my porch for Fall and even started to show off some spooky finds for Halloween. Find the outdoor Fall decor that speaks to you this season in this latest blog!

I believe the front porch is the book cover of the story you tell inside your home. It’s an opportunity to show your self expression and elevate curb appeal. I love layering textures and materials. Utilizing gorgeous autumn colored stems, and wicker pumpkins amplifies the natural essence of the front yard. Balancing with dark terracotta jack-o-lanterns and dramatic lanterns for the moody Halloween vibe.

Together, the juxtaposition of these materials encompasses the best that Fall has to offer, and elevates the first impression of what is to come inside.

Light Up the Night

The nights are longer, and I don’t believe Christmas should be the only season to play with outdoor lighting. Adding touches of lighting elements allows your Fall decor to bring on a whole new look once the sun sets. Bringing a Halloween ethereal magic once believed to have only belonged to Witches.

Flowers that will brave the cold

I love the look of flowers on my porch. Flowers are always so inviting, and can bring a lot of fun color dimension alongside any seasonal decor. In Washington, my real flowers don’t last very long as the temperature gets chilly. My solution is gorgeous faux flower finds, like these orange mums. The vibrant pop against the other warm Fall colors creates a lot of visual interest.

Get a little spooky!

Don’t be afraid to embrace the fun elements of Halloween decorating. I love sprinkling in flickering spooky lights, and cute ghosts around the space. My kids love these items as well!

Don’t be limited to one space

Lastly, don’t be afraid to take these finds to your backyard. We spend so much time outside during Fall, making smores and carving pumpkins. Enjoy the full Fall experience by extending your Fall decor to your patio.
