We’re soaking up every bit of sunshine and slow living here in Cancun and it’s been exactly what I needed. Long, breezy mornings, sandy toes, and the kind of calm that lets you truly reset. It’s been such a special time with family and I’ve loved leaning into the slower pace. I also packed a few pieces that I’ve completely fallen in love with—effortless, beautiful, and perfect for everything from beach days to dinners out. I couldn’t wait to round up and share a few of my favorite finds from this trip with you!
Swimwear Favorites

Swimwear has basically been my daily uniform on this trip, so I made sure to pack a few suits that I genuinely feel great in. I focused on pieces that are not only flattering but also easy to pair with the accessories I brought along—things like straw hats, simple slides, and lightweight coverups. My go-to has been a black and white bikini with contrast trim that feels classic and timeless. It’s the kind of suit that never goes out of style and pairs effortlessly with everything. I’ve also been loving a bold red suit that adds a pop of color without feeling too loud—it’s sleek, simple, and full of confidence. And then there’s this white shimmer bikini that catches the light so beautifully, with just the right amount of texture to make it feel special and soft.
What I love most is how all these swimsuits work seamlessly with my summer staples. Every suit goes with the accessories I brought, which has made getting ready for beach days or lounging at the pool so simple. Whether it’s a sheer sarong, a pair of gold earrings, or a big straw tote, everything just flows together. These are the kinds of pieces I know I’ll be reaching for again and again as the weather warms up—they’re easy, versatile, and make me feel put together without even trying.
Easy Cover-Ups

When I’m not in the water, I’m living in cover-ups—and honestly, they’ve become just as essential as my swimsuits on this trip. I brought a black and white crochet one that’s hands down been my most-worn piece. It’s super lightweight and easy to throw on, which makes it perfect for going back and forth from the pool or beach. The crochet texture adds a little something extra without feeling too fussy, and it works with every suit I packed. I also brought a khaki wrap skirt that’s been great for daytime—easy to layer when we’re grabbing lunch or heading out for a walk around the resort. It adds just enough structure to make a swimsuit feel like a full outfit but still has that effortless, beachy vibe I love.
For the evenings, I’ve been reaching for a longer flowy cover-up that’s more polished but still super easy to slip on. It’s one of those pieces you don’t have to think twice about—you just toss it over your suit and instantly feel a little more dressed up. Whether we’re heading to a casual dinner or watching the sunset by the water, it’s been the perfect in-between layer. I love that it’s still breezy and comfortable but feels a bit more elevated for nighttime. Having a few cover-up options like these has made packing (and outfit planning) so much easier. They’ve totally become summer staples I know I’ll be rewearing all season long.
Dinner Dresses I’ll Wear Again and Again

We’ve had a few family dinners out during this trip, and it’s been really fun getting dressed up—just a little—after spending most of the day in swimsuits and sandals. I packed a few easy dresses that ended up being total wins. One of them is this short Amazon dress I wasn’t totally sure about before the trip. It’s simple, super comfortable, and has that effortless vacation feel. The length makes it fun and casual, but it still feels put together with a pair of sandals and some jewelry. It’s one of those throw-on-and-go pieces that ended up being perfect for quick dinners or walking the resort in the evening. Definitely keeping this one in my summer wardrobe.
I also brought along a silky floral dress from Abercrombie that’s a bit more elevated, and I absolutely love it. It has a soft, open-back design that feels just the right amount of dressy, and the fit is so flattering without being too much. The fabric is beautiful and catches the light in that pretty, understated way—perfect for a sunset dinner or a beachside cocktail. And then there’s the cream knot-tie dress I packed, which has been another favorite for evening wear. The tie-front detail adds a little extra something while still keeping things simple and chic. It’s so easy to slip on, super lightweight, and perfect for warmer nights when you want to feel a bit more dressed up without overthinking it. All three of these dresses have earned a spot in my summer rotation—they’re comfortable, versatile, and made getting ready on this trip feel fun and effortless.
The Finishing Touches for Every Look

A few accessories I packed really ended up being MVPs this trip. My wide-brim straw hat has been a total lifesaver under the hot sun, and these rhinestone-trimmed sunglasses are just so fun—they instantly elevate any outfit, even if I’m just heading to the pool. I also brought along a waterproof tote that holds everything I need and doesn’t stress me out when it gets sandy or wet. I love when pieces strike that perfect balance between function and style.
This trip has been such a sweet blend of sunshine, rest, and quality time with my people. I’ve felt both comfortable and confident thanks to these little staples, and they’ve made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Leaving Mexico with a full heart and so many special memories.
